3) I think I have definitely moved closer to an entrepreneurial mindset. At the beginning of the semester I would think "I wish there was something to solve this problem", but now whenever I am faced with a problem I think "How can I come up with an effective and marketable solution to this problem?" Now I definitely see myself as an entrepreneur.
4) My biggest recommendation is don't fall behind on assignments/get ahead on assignments. Getting ahead on assignments really helped me in this course. When there were weeks that I knew I was going to be busy in my others classes, I always made sure to get the ENT3003 assignments for those weeks done early so I could spend more time for my other classes. In order to foster this kind of mindset, I recommend either buying a planner, or constantly checking canvas in order to remember/notice when you will have busy weeks coming up so you can get ahead on assignments.
Graham,
ReplyDeleteI agree that the elevator pitch was one of the most informative experiences in this course. It really helps develop the skill of being able to deliver ideas clearly and concisely to an audience no matter the topic. I also think your tactic of getting ahead on assignments early is a great idea. It definitely would've helped me out in this class but hopefully it will help other before they get to the end.
Graham,
ReplyDeleteIt's good that you were always ahead. Unfortunately, I missed some much needed points by forgetting due times were at 12 in the afternoon. It's always good to be early. I also think this class helped me a lot and really wired my brain to think more like an entrepreneur and not like a customer.
Graham,
ReplyDeleteI definitely noticed how far ahead you worked. I didn't really screw up by missing deadlines, but i remember not even doing the social capital assignment because I thought we were required to actually make contact with these execs. I made my entire venture concept about weed. I pretty much figured I'd be laughed at, so I didn't do that one. I don't think that I look at problems and think specifically, "is there a marketable solution to this problem?", but I definitely look at problems as a problem-solver much more easily and much more naturally now. Great job in this class. I enjoyed reading and responding to the last few of your assignments.
